Ayan Hero Surya�s 25th Film - Singam

One of Kollywood�s most fast rising star Surya�s 25th film will be Singam. Singam is being directed by Hari, who has earlier given hit movie �Vel� with Surya. The film is produced by K.E.Gnanavel of Studio Green who has earlier made Sillunnu Oru Kaadhal and Paruthiveeran.
Singam will be started once Surya completes K.S Ravikumar�s Aadhavan. The movie is said to be an action packed Cop movie with the right mix of sentiments and comedy like all Hari films. Anushka is the heroine and the cast also has Prakash Raj and Vivek.
This will be second time Suriya will be doing a cop role after Kaakha Kaakha and for Hari too it will be his second police story after his blockbuster Saamy with Vikram.
Devi Sri Prasad will score music for the film. VT Vijayan is the editor and Priyan is the cameraman. The first schedule will be completed in Tirunelveli, Ambasamudram, Kutralam, Karaikudi and Thuthukudi while the second schedule will be in Chennai, Hyderabad and Vizag.

has finally found its way to India. ANAMS, from the house of Arif and Sons group, with their men�s line, ANAMS MAN TM, in an exquisite fashion show held at Taj Mount Road, opened doors in the country, with more possibilities and renewed options for one as they position themselves before the mirror everyday.
The collection, which will hit the racks of Gabanna (on Khader Nawaz Khan Road) on May 10th, premiered at the fashion show, featured casual and party wears for men�s wear and select women�s wear.
The show choreographed by Karun Raman, did see some celebrated faces off the ramps of the Lakme Fashion week, models like Priya Naik, Aliya Mohammed and Pallavi Singh to name a few. The styles for the show were created by Rina Mahtani and the hair was done by Schwarzkopf and make up by Madhu of La Change from Paris.
Wearability was perhaps the key word that ruled the ramp. Shirts, sans the usual ramp glitz (read over-the-top), formal and casual, linear cuts and not that in-your-face colours defined the evening, a good respite from the habitual fashion conventions (misconceptions) designers go by.. Overall, a neat collection and positively something that can complete your wardrobe. The complete line will be available across all leading stores in India soon.

Rajini's 100 Style Dancing for Endhiran

Superstar Rajnikanth is famous for his style and in his mega budget movie Endhiran, Rajnikanth has danced in a hundred different ways for a song filmed at Ramoji Film City in Hyderbad recently. The song has been shot for 22 days, and it features Rajini in hundred different costumes with as many dance movements choreographed by Prabhu Deva, The song also features Aishwariya Rai, who plays the female lead.
Director Shankar, working on the multi-crore project, had round of discussions with graphic designers before going in to shooting of the song. Sporting costumes were specially designed for Rajni and movements choreographed with as many as 100 variations.
Interestingly, just when this song was being shot at one floor of the Ramoji Film City, actors Kamal Haasan, Mohanlal and Venkatesh were shooting for Unnaipol Oruvan at another floor of the venue.

There are some more interesting facts being revealed in ASAL. The introduction song is being planned to do in a grand manner and Bhardwaj is working extra hard to ensure that his tune matches the expectations. The most interesting part is that Silambarasan will be Singing the song for Ajith.
Now, that will be interesting! One hero singing for another, the rarest of rare cases.
But, one is sure that Silambarasan, a self confessed admirer and close friend of Ajith will only be glad to do it. Silmabarasan has already given quite a few hits in his own voice, including a few songs sung for others too. The one in Asal, if it happens, will be a special one for all involved.

Actress and Singer Shruthi Haasan released Yogi B’s Kavithai Gundar music album at the Green Park Hotel in Chennai today on 24th April. The music album is the first production venture of Studio 8 Production.
Kavithai Gundar album, is directed by Emcee Jesz, a Malaysian Hip Hop artiste. There are 13 tracks in the album and they are sung by 12 artistes. Some of the popular singers who have lend their voice for the album are Neha Bhasin, Yogi B and Benny Dayal.

Unnai Pol Oruvan Movie First Look Photos:
Kamal Hassan’s Thalaivan Irukkiraan movie has undergone a title change and now it will be called as Unnai Pol Oruvan. The movie shooting Started on April 7th inn Hyderabad’s Ramoji Rao studios. Unnai Pol Oruvan is one of the much expected movies of Kollywood in 2009, since kamal is acting after a period of nearly one year after his last blockbuster Dasavatharam. The movie is also remake of the much acclaimed Bollywood film A Wednesday.
Unnai Pol Oruvan will be made as bilingual film, directed by Chakri. The film will be made in the Tamil and Telugu languages (as Eenadu) with Mohanlal playing a supporting role in the former while Venkatesh plays the same role in the latter version. Sources say that the entire shoot of the film will be mostly at Ramoji Rao studios and the entire shooting will be completed by May 31, and the film will be most likely to be released on July 4.
Shruti Hassan, daughter of Kamal Hassan will also make her debut as a music composer in the movie. The movie will also see two of Indian cinema’s finest actors - Kamal Hassan and Mohanlal coming together for the first time.

One of India’s best know film director Mani Ratnam has been admitted to Apollo hospital in Chennai with a minor heart attack on April 15th early morning. The condition of Mani, who is under observation, is now stable and he would remain in the hospital for some time, sources said. But the attack is very much concerned by his well wishers since it was Mani Ratham’s third attack in the last five years. The 52-year-old director, had survived a first heart attack in 2004 when he was filming the multi-starrer, bi-lingual ‘Yuva’.

Tamil Movie Ayan a Box Office Hit? or Not?

The film’s distribution rights were sold to Sun Pictures in January 2009. The film’s background score and soundtrack, composed by Harris Jayaraj, released on January 19, 2009. Franz Spilhaus, a stunt team, which worked for Hollywood movies like The Poseidon Adventure and King Solomon’s Mines have choreographed the stunt sequences in this film. Produced by AVM Productions by M Saravanan, M S Guhan, Aruna Guhan and Aparna Guhan and presented by Sun Pictures.
Ayan Movie Review:
The movie starts with Surya (Devaraj Velusamy,Deva) smuggling movie VCD which has not released in India but soon the CD is confiscated by the police. Surya is a M.Sc student who graduates with flying colurs but he cares for Prabhu(A good smuggler) and treats him as his Godfather who is also a good friend of his late father much to the dissatisfaction of surya’s mom. The enemy of Prabhu,(Akashdeep Saighal)a man who competes him in the same field gets the CD and gives it to the buyers.
Then a man named Chitti Babu joins Prabhu’s gang and becomes Deva’s friend. Deva falls in love with Citi babu’s sister Yamuna(Tamanna). Soon Deva learns that Citi is a traitor and scolds Tamanna but later they unite again. Citi who smuggled drug for Deva’s enemy is killed in Malaysia and Deva burns him in his wish so that Citi’s parents don’t know about the smuggling. Later Deva helps the customs and seized a lot of drugs. At last, Prabhu is killed in car crash which is planned by the rival. Deva goes to South Africa to get the diamond and smuggle it to India but his mom reports to the customs so that he will change and become a new man. Later, Deva gives the diamonds to the customs and becomes a custom officer.
The film has all the essential qualities of a GOOD masala movie… mixed with style and takes us into africa which was not shown so long in films.
Am I Right?
Ayan movie starring Surya Sivakumar, Tamanna and Prabhu in lead roles, is the perfect summer retreat. The movie is running to almost full houses at all the theatres in Chennai. K.V Anand has got his basics right for a perfect time-pass entertainer. With Suriya and Tamanna chemistry, with chart busters song from Harris Jayaraj, with lots lots of action and humor in it, the movie will be perfect entertainer for you.
The movie reviews and word of mouth are also positive and it is said to be the first major hit of 2009. Ayan has collected nearly 2 Crores in chennai alone after running to packed houses for a weak. Repeated trailers by Sun TV, last week national holidays and Tamil new year also will help the movie to get more crowds and experts predict that the movie will easily gross 4.5 to 5Crores in chennai alone. Lets wait for aonther 2-3 weeks of time to decide the movie is a Box Office hit!

Chennai Box Office Hit - Ayan Movie Review

Gangster stories, double-crossings, informers – This isn’t something clichéd when it comes to Tamil Cinema. Of course, we could’ve watched many times on the screens, but they weren’t something more precisely presented. K.V. Anand delivered his knack of blending an crucial concept with commercial elements right in his debut directorial ‘Kana Kandein’. Well, on the same tracks, ‘Ayan’ takes off with one such theme.
Deva (Surya) smuggles foreign goods, Gold and diamonds for Doss (Prabhu) who has bought him up right from his childhood… His sidekick Chitti Babu (Jagan) and a deaf driver (Karunaas) accompany him in all conniving acts. Deva and Chitti Babu turn to be close friends and indeed Chitti’s sister (Thamannah) falls in love with him. A good friend, a lovable sweetheart, A Caring Mom (Renuka) and a father-like Doss. What else does a man need than this? But Deva’s main impedimenta is through Kamalesh (Akashdeep Saigal) who keeps informing cops about the collusive tasks carried through Deva and Chitti. Doss doubts about the deaf driver to be the informer. Unfortunately, it’s really appalling when unraveled about the real informer.
Surya has adeptly carried through the performances top-notched. He’s extraordinarily matured compared to his previous flicks. He’s perfect with spellbinding stunts, decent romance and emotional sequences. Thamannah deserves commendable credits for the crème de la crème acting. She had done what many of our actresses failed to do on the screens other than skin shows and dancing horribly. Thank you Thamannah, we made us like your decent show. Prabhu steals the show and in many scenes his characterization goes powerful than Surya. Jagan has been portrayed with a stunning role that’s more than comedy. Certainly, the entire script revolves around him. Renuka deserves good comments while Akashdeep Saigal could’ve been presented with yet more rigid role.
Screenplay and characterization is more brilliant. K.V. Anand proves himself to be off a skilled filmmaker with an interesting narration. Merely, in the second half, the film looks bit flimsy in screenplay and anyhow, it makes up grandly towards the climax scene (Catch Me If You Can – Style). Most of the sequences have been inspired from ‘Lord of Wars’.
Harris’s musical scores works with couple of songs ‘Pala Palakura’ and ‘Vizhi Mudi Yosithal’. But why does he stumble more on background score is worth asking question. Cinematography is good at many parts and mediocre in few portions while Antony comes up with a matured touch unlike his previous films. Dialogues are catchy.
On the whole, ‘Ayan’ reveals about K.V. Anand’s real taste of good cinema. So, it’s a film worth watching and you’re sure to enjoy doing it so.

Shruti Hassan, daughter of Kamal Hassan is all set to make her debut as a music composer in her Dad’s movie Thalaivan Irukkiraan. Thalaivan Irukkiraan is a forthcoming bilingual film starring Kamal Haasan, directed by Chakri.
